I appreciate the fact that I have 2 followers (HELLO!) so I must apologize that I NEVER UPDATE!
I started this blog as a way for me to keep my sanity in my first year as a part time law student, but, it turns out that I have even LESS free time than I imagined, so the blog has been neglgected.
I am very much looking forward to the holidays and time to relax, spend time with my husband, family, friends and dog....and update my blog more often.
Stay tuned.
Did I mention that I survived mid terms and PASSED EVERYTHING? WOO HOO!

Dear Khloe Kardashian:
WTF.
You got married after a month?
I wasn't even sure if my now husband was even date-able after a month. I LOVE YOU HUSBAND!
And why does People keep sending me e-mails about your marriage?
I wish you the best of luck but look forward to the news story of your divorce.
Have fun with your husband's baby momma's, also!
I AM HATEFUL!

Neglect
I'm sitting in the lobby of the Econo Lodge in Bloomsburg, PA...as this is the only place in the entire hotel where I can get a internet signal. FAIL.
This month has been extremely busy with work and school. My latest challenge is writing a memo on the fair use doctrine of the US Copyright Act. I've been working on it for a little over a week and I've been having my doubts. This is the 2nd weekend, since the assignment, that I've been out of town, thus being in an Econo Lodge in PA this weekend. My time to work on the weekends has been swallowed up.
You see...in the law school...you teach yourself how to do things. It's not like undergrad where you are lectured to and then regurgitate the material on an exam. You are given a BRIEF explanation of legal research and VOILA!!!...you need to write a memo. Wish me luck.
I still haven't watched the VMA's and my DVR at home is about 30% full. I'm relieved to find out that one of the shows I have yet to watch, The Beautiful Life, has already been cancelled. DELETE.
I was able to watch "Cougar Town" and "Glee" this week and I've really enjoyed both shows. Unfortunately, I haven't yet had time to watch my favorites, Law & Order, Grey's Anatomy & CSI. Plus, I have neglected Project Runway...NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON IN THAT SHOW RIGHT NOW! I find the Fall TV season to be very interesting and I've decided to not get as involved in new shows, as some of my favorites (Eli Stone, Cashmere Mafia, Big Shots, Lipstick Jungle, Back To You) were all CANCELLED!!!
I'm looking forward to next weekend. My plans: homework & TV catch up. Homework first of course! Riiight...
Thanks to Google Reader, I'm stil able to keep up with my blogs and general news.
Can we please discuss how much this angers me? That child does not belong!!

I Will Survive
I realize that the whole point of having a blog and having people consistently read it is to post! I am trying to be better about that.
My schedule these days involves working from 8:15 to 4:30, schlepping to school, having class until 9:30 and coming home to the husband and dog. Most days, I go right to bed or try to do some homework of pop in a TV on DVD. This week...Will & Grace.
I had a great birthday celebrating with my closest friends. We went to dinner and went dancing. We shut the bar down, if you can believe it. I used to see my friends at least once a week during the week, but because of school, I haven't been able to see them except on weekends.
One of my good friends gave me the cutest gift: a "Law School Survival Kit" complete with "Law School for Dummies", a bottle of headache medicine ("Law School Aderral") and several airplane bottles of vodka taped to small bottles of cranberry juice. I really enjoy creative gifts.
So far, I have not broken in to the vodka/cranberry juice, but the "Aderral" has been used a few times.
All I can say is thank goodness for coffee.
Have I also mentioned how little money I'm spending now that I'm in school? I haven't been clothes shopping in weeks.

26
Today marks the end of my 2nd week of law school and my 26th birthday.
Husband surprised me and took the day off and took me to lunch. It was lovely.
Since I've been out of touch all week, I shall report later on this week's happenings.

First Week
Well, ladies and gentlemen, I made it through my first week of law school. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't incredibly difficult, either.
So far, I am really enjoying the courses and the professors. Law school has this reputation for having stuffy, old, cranky professors. Actually, my professors are closer to my age.
As far as homework goes, I don't get home from school until 10 P.M. By that time, I am fried and head straight to bed. Getting enough sleep, for me, is key to surviving my hectic schedule. I would rather spend my lunch break reading, which I have done twice this week, than miss sleep. Lack of sleep = sick!
I was excited to leave work Friday and come straight home. I relaxed, caught up on a week's worth of TV and slept in, a whopping 50 minutes, on Saturday.
This is going to be a challenge, but I think I can do it.

Bad Programming
A dear friend of mine (who is also going back to school this fall) and I have run into a predicament. We are both the ones who "take care of" our households. We pretty much do everything that needs to be done (laundry, grocery shopping, errands, cleaning). With both of us going back to school, our time to do these things will be severely limited and we are going to rely on our significant others to do a lot more.
We have both come to the conclusion that men (well at least ours) don't see the importance of certain things like thoroughly cleaning a bathroom or hanging up/putting up dirty laundry. They don't automatically understand that these things necessarily need to get done. It's not that they don't care...there are just different priorities for men. My frend and I blame...GENETICS. Are women just programmed to do these particular things or are we (my friend and I) just control freaks who just need to relax?
